Rebecca joined Ryder Wright as an associate in 2021 after articling with the Ontario government’s Constitutional Law Branch and clerking for a bilingual judge at the Federal Court of Appeal.
While studying law at McGill University, Rebecca’s interest in advocacy and access to justice led her to clinical placements at the Center for Research-Action on Race Relations and the Yukon Human Rights Commission. She was recognized as a top ten oralist in the 2018 Wilson Moot and she also worked as a research assistant, conducting research on equality rights and systemic discrimination.
Rebecca brings to her practice a passion for social and economic justice. Prior to her legal studies, she obtained a Bachelor of Arts and Science in Psychology and International Development at McGill University, completing an internship in southern India studying farmers’ barriers to achieving a sustainable livelihood. Rebecca also worked for several years at a diversity education non-profit in Montreal where she developed and facilitated hundreds of workshops on promoting and sustaining inclusive educational environments.
When not advocating for workplace justice, Rebecca enjoys dancing, singing, curling up with a good book or planning her next trip.
